ANDREW J. PAPANEK
vice president
Andrew J. Papanek joined Anderson Security in June of 2003 for the purpose of coordinating all of the private security for Inventing Flight, which utilized a total of 100 security officers covering 10,000+ man-hours. After completing Inventing Flight Andy was asked to stay on at Anderson Security and was made a Vice President in the company. Andy comes to Anderson Security after spending 37 distinguished years in public law enforcement. The past seventeen years he served as police chief of the City of Brookville and prior to that Andy spent twenty years with the Montgomery Sheriff’s Office where he attained the rank of chief deputy. He is a graduate of the 97th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy, the 18th session of the National Sheriff’s Institute, numerous other law enforcement and management training courses and seminars and holds an AS in Applied Science from Sinclair Community College.
LINDA L. PAPANEK
human resources manager / scheduling
Linda L. Papanek is the Human Resources Manager/Scheduler and has been with Anderson Security Inc. since 1993. She came to Anderson Security with twenty-five years experience in human resources, scheduling and private security. Linda is responsible for all employee hiring, scheduling of personnel and related employee issues. Law enforcement has been with Linda her entire life. Her grandfather was a police chief, her father was a police officer, husband a deputy sheriff and police chief, two son’s that are currently sergeants with the local sheriff’s department and a future son-in-law who is a city police officer.
GORDON R. SELF
operations supervisor
Gordon Self has been actively involved in the security/safety profession since 1975 and has held a variety of positions for various agencies in Virginia, Maryland and Ohio. His work history includes experience as a security officer, private investigator, emergency management/disaster plan coordinator, personnel specialist, security training officer, and supervisor. During the last three decades, he has worked for such agencies as General Motors Corporation, Virginia Public School System, TSA, and independent private security firms. His career accomplishments include the Virginia Governor’s Award for volunteering excellence, Stafford County Public Schools (Virginia) Service Employee of the Year, and the General Motors Chairman’s Award of Excellence. Gordon was instrumental in the development and training of the Fire Brigade and Emergency Response Team at the General Motors GM Powertrain Plant in Fredericksburg, Virginia; including the development of the Emergency Operations Procedure Manual. In February of 2003, Gordon joined the Anderson Security organization as a Security Field Supervisor. Following four years of service in this position, he was promoted to the role of Operations Supervisor.
LAHOMA JOURNELL
administrative assistant
Lahoma Journell joined the Anderson Security Inc. team in 1996 and brings with her twelve years of experience in the administrative and accounting fields. She is responsible for all receptionist duties, day to day office duties, accounts receivable and payroll for Anderson Security Incorporated.
